There are many reasons for having a stable and level caravan pitch. For both comfort and practicalities. And it's often the first job you have to do when you arrive on site. Even if it's raining (and let's face it, it often is in the UK or Ireland).
Leaving you to get straight on with your holiday.
All the hassle and fiddle of manually levelling your caravan is removed by the touch of a button. No more scrabbling around on your hands and knees on sharp stones or mud. No more chocks and temperamental gadgets. Just a quick, simple press of a button.
*always ensure that E&P is not the only method of support if working underneath a caravan.
At the press of a button, the system deploys two hydraulic jacks. These level from side to side and are attached to the axle. Next are the four hydraulically operated AL-KO Big Foot corner steadies which level from front to back. The six parts all work together with the control unit to give your caravan a comfortable, level and stable position.
For convenience and safety, the Level C system comes with a removable touchscreen control. This allows you to freely walk around your caravan, checking for any hazards or obstacles. Or, you could just sit back and watch the hydraulic system doing all the hard work for you.
By always deploying in pairs, the system helps prevent unnecessary strain or stress on the chassis and floor of the caravan. So you are able to confidently use the system to tilt the caravan to fit a wheel-lock, or change a tyre. The larger, pivoting corner steadies help spread the weight and give a much steadier and solid position.
As well as tilting the caravan for tyre changes, it can help you when you fit wheel locks for added security. Plus, once the legs are down, the system won't let the caravan go anywhere, unless you say so!

120 seconds, maximum, but often less than a minute.
The E&P Hydraulics Level C system takes its power from the caravan leisure battery and it doesn't take much when compared to motor movers. Our system software is designed to protect the battery and, therefore, if the battery voltage is low then the hydraulic levelling system cannot be used and an alarm will sound on the control panel to indicate this. In the event your battery voltage is too low, you can hook up to the site electrics, or your towing vehicle to recharge it.
Whilst it is you, the user, who is responsible for ensuring the caravan is safe to tow, this scenario is nearly impossible because you would likely be unable to hook up the caravan to the tow vehicle with the jacks down. However, it is always good practice to walk around the caravan and visually check that all jacks are fully stowed before leaving site.
No, the caravan needs to be empty, even if it's raining! Having people moving within the caravan will cause the level sensor to go out of synchronisation.
It is also important that you keep watch on what is happening around and underneath the caravan, so get everyone involved in checking for hazards.
You can still auto-level or auto-retract the system from the touchpanel housing in the event you lose or damage the touchpanel. The touchpanel has a long-life rechargeable battery that will automatically recharge as soon as it is placed back in the housing.
Replacement touchpanels can be ordered from an E&P Hydraulics Accredited Partner if required.
No, it is a closed loop hydraulic system.
Yes, this is useful for protecting tyres during long periods of storage, but it will not completely stop tyre degradation. It can also help prevent a sticking handbrake and make the caravan more secure against theft. If you are leaving the system deployed for a long period, please use a silicon-based protective spray on the axle jacks, to prolong their durability.
Yes, this aids the fit of wheel security devices greatly. However you, the user, are responsible for ensuring the caravan is safe to lift and that it is adequately supported with axle stands if any work is being carried out under the caravan. Please do NOT work under a caravan if the only method of support is the E&P Levelsystem.
The full Level C system will level the caravan using two hydraulic jacks, mounted to the axle, and steady the caravan using four automatic hydraulic corner steadies. This levels the caravan from side to side and front and back automatically. The Compact version of the system using your existing corner steadies and simply levels from side to side. You would still need to deploy the corner steadies manually.

The levelling system installation can take upto 8 hours, depending on the caravan in question. You would therefore be required to leave your caravan with the Installer for a full working day (08:30 - 16:30 typically). Our Installation Partners will happily advise on any travel and accommodation questions you may have.
